Position Summary:
As a Ride YourWay SecureCare Transportation Specialist (STS), you are the heartbeat of our company. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and reliable transportation for clients with behavioral health needs. Your primary focus will be to ensure a comfortable, supportive, and respectful experience for each individual as you transport them to and from medical facilities, appointments, and other essential destinations.
Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation: Safely operate and maintain vehicles designated for secure non-emergency medical transportation.
- Passenger Assistance: Assist passengers in boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
- Adherence to Schedules: Maintain punctuality by following assigned schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrival at pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with passengers, healthcare professionals, and dispatchers to coordinate transportation details and address any special requirements.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Ensure vehicles are clean and taken proper care of.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, fostering a positive and supportive environment for passengers.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant transportation regulations, including traffic laws and company policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
- Client Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger needs, concerns, and inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screening in compliance with safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Compassionate and patient approach when dealing with individuals with medical needs.
- Physical ability to assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles up to 250lbs.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform routine inspections.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of passengers.
